About Us

Lisa Robateau-Epps has been President and CEO of Robateau & Associates for nearly 20 years, and has been instrumental in leading the organization into being a reputable, innovative, and profitable service provider in the field of speech-language pathology.

Robateau & Associates is an Approved Independent Provider of Related Services for the New York City Department of Education. Under her leadership, Robateau & Associates (R&A) has made exemplary efforts to employ the latest scientific research, evidence-based evaluation of services, and business management practices. As a result, R&A’s profits, as a business, have increased by 9-12% for the last seven years but, most importantly, the speech-language progress of its clients has been noted by colleagues and service recipients alike. R&A has expanded its service offerings to include “summer camps” and “prep courses” for private school entrance interviews and exams; R&A has increased its visibility and outreach via its well-designed website, email newsletter, and its involvement in supervising graduate externships; and R&A has begun funding interdisciplinary projects between graduate students studying speech-language pathology and other disciplines like computer science in order to contribute to the academic and pragmatic ingenuity of the field of speech-pathology.

While serving in this capacity, Lisa allocated time to hold the position of Executive Director at Multilink in East New York, Brooklyn. In this role, she endeavored to strengthen the organization’s capacity to provide much needed speech-language services to at-risk minority communities and expand financial/employment opportunities for minority therapists. During her tenure as Executive Director, the agency’s annual revenue surpassed $1 million dollars and over 100 therapists were given the opportunity to provide service to over 1000 minority clients.

Lisa serves as the Chair of the Education and Injury Prevention Committee of the NYS Traumatic Brain Injury Committee and also serves on the Non-Profits Clearinghouse Board at the New York Junior League and the Scholarship Committee of the Robateau-Epps Scholarship Fund. She is a member of the New York Historical Society, the Central Park Conservancy, the Montauk Club, the American Jewish Committee, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Lisa is a NYS licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped. She holds a certificate in Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA). Lisa graduated from the City University of New York, Brooklyn College (BA, Communication Disorders and MS, Speech-Language Pathology).
